The Intel 4004 Microprocessor emulator The e4004 emulator is a very complex emulator of the INTEL 4004 system, the world's first microprocessor, created by Federico Faggin in 1971. The 4004 microprocessor was one of 4 chips constituting the MCS-4 chip-set, which included the 4001 ROM, 4002 RAM, and 4003 Shift Register. Heart of the MCS-4 micro computer set is the 4004 CPU. This device has a powerful and versatile instruction set which allows the system to perform a wide variety of arithmetic, control and decision functions. All of today's processors are (highly advanced!) descendants of this original 4-bit CPU. The emulator, assembler and disassembler is written in JavaScript, so they are easy to execute on whatever platform with the internet browser and implemented JavaScript interpreter.
